Testimonials

My daughter, my mom and I went to lunch at a Chinese restaurant.  It was served family style so we had alot of extra food left over.   When we were leaving the strip mall, there was a homeless man and his dog on the corner.  We stopped and offered him our leftovers.  He smiled and said "Thank you so much"  I said " Some day when you can do the same for someone else."  It felt good to see him smile and it was a great lesson for my daughter to see.

I was on my way home, I missed the ramp I was supposed to take and had to go to the next one.  As I was getting off the highway there was a car stranded on the off ramp. The temp was  110 degrees that day.  There was a lady in the car mopping her brow and looking stressed, when I went past I asked her if she had help coming, she stated she did.  I had to go on because people were lining up behind me.  I couldn't just leave  her there so I stopped at a circle K got 2 bottles of water and went back.  I parked behind her on the off ramp and asked her if she would wait in my car in the air conditioning until AAA could get there.  I gave her a bottle of water and we waited.  She stated that only women stopped to ask her if she was ok,  then a man walked over to see if both of us were ok.  I said thank you, this nice lady is waiting in the car here with me so she won't overheat.  He stated he saw her and was worried.  Soon after that a Highway Patrolman came by, I advised him I had the Lady in my car until AAA could get there. He thanked me and stated he was going to help her get her car off the road so we would not be blocking traffic.  He helped her get the car  to a side street and then waited until I could get there. He said do you mind waiting?  I have another call and I have to leave, I said "Don't worry I will stay with her until help gets here."  He thanked me again and left.  When the tow truck got there, she thanked me and  I gave her a Kindness Kard and said when you get the chance, pass it on.   She said I think I'm going to cry, I said well don't cause then there will be 2 of us crying!!!!  What a wonderful feeling to be able to help someone in need.

This is truly amazing. One of my best friends emailed me about a bad afternoon she was having yesterday in which turned out to be a wonderful one due to the act of kindness of a total stranger. She told me about the card and I was intrigued. I asked her if they had a website because I was inspired by her story and wanted to have some on me to use in the future. She went to the website and there is a testimonial from the very nice woman that helped my friend. Thank you Nancy for helping my friend and making us believe this world still has good, kind hearted people in it.

My husband called me today, the swamp cooler went out in his store and he wanted me to bring water and gatorade to the shop so the boys would have something cool to drink until the cooler got fixed.  Today it is 107 degrees and it is 10:00 am.  I stopped at a local store to get water, in my rear view mirror I saw a homeless man and his dog.  When I went into the store they had disappeared.  I though I was mistaken that he was homeless.   When I left the store I saw the man in the shade near the building.  I asked him if he needed some water.  I gave him some of the water I just purchased.  He said he had not eaten in 2 days.  I gave him the money I had left in my pocket and told him where to find the local MCDonalds.  He thanked me and I gave him a KindessKard, said someday when you can, pass it on.  I am truly thankful for the blog that got me started on this mission and got me off my butt and start this site.

My husband, daughter, 2 grandchildren and I were at breakfast this morning.  There was a lovely lady sitting next to us eating breakfast alone, I said to my husband, we should buy her meal.  So I walked over, took her ticket and told her I was going to buy her breakfast.  She stated but you don't even know me.  I told her it was a Random Act of Kindness and to have a Merry Christmas and may the rest of the holidays be happy.  I gave her one of the Kindness Kards and said if you get a chance, pass it on.  She thanked me and said she was just saying that there are not many acts of kindness anymore.   When she went to leave, she stopped at our table and said there are more deserving people than me here.  I said everyone deserves an act of kindness, if you can pass it on.  It is a wonderful feeling to know you made someones day!

I was coming home from a very long day helping my daughter move.  I saw an elderly lady walking down the street.  She was pushing a walker, would stop for a few minutes to rest and start walking again.  It was 111 degrees out.  I almost went by, but then I thought I can't leave her out there.  I turned around and went back to get her.  I asked her where she was going and she had about 2 miles left to walk.  I asked her if I could take her to where she was going.  I said it is too hot for you to walk that far.  She had no water with her.  I loaded her walker into my van and helped her into the car.  I took her to her home.  She asked if she could pay me, I said no, but if you get the chance, help someone else who may need it.
